About
the Author -
Dr. Ernest R. Campbell
Dr. Ernest R. Campbell was born in 1915. He received his B.A. degree from the
University of Oregon, and his Th.D. from Northern Baptist Seminary, where he
majored in Greek under the renowned Greek scholar Dr. Julius R. Mantey.
Since that time Dr. Campbell has served in the pastorate for over 40 years
and founded Canyonview Camp and Biblion College. During 50 years of study, the
Greek New Testament has given Dr. Campbell much insight into God's sovereign
purpose and plan. Knowing that all believers are not able to take the time to
master the Greek language, Dr. Campbell wishes to unfold these treasures for
his readers in verse by verse commentaries of the epistles written for the Body
of Christ.
Dr. Ernest R. Campbell has been refered to as "The great Pauline Dispensationalist"
by Pastor Kerry Kinchen, in his sermon on 1 Peter 1:14-19(1),
and Charles R. Swindoll has quoted an excerpt from Dr. Campbell's Commentary
on Galatians in his book "Esther Great Lives Series: Volume 2."(2)
